Gallbladder stones are concentrated pieces of bile and they vary in size and number.

Gallbladder stones may not cause any symptoms and a lot of people will not come to know about them till they come for a routine examination and get an ultrasound abdomen.

 

Gallbladder stones can be symptomatic as well.

 

–          Pain in upper abdomen or chest and sometimes radiating to back or shoulder.

–          Pain generally increases after fatty meals and binging on alcohol.

–          This pain can be due to gallbladder contracting and stone pushing in the bile duct.
